Reporting Bugs to Bungie

The Bungie Help Forum is a great resource available to all players looking for game-related help or looking to report a bug they're currently experiencing. The following information serves as a guide to help players efficiently format their Help Forum posts to help us create a more concise and consistent bug-reporting experience.

Players will find two bug-reporting template recommendations below, one for console/streaming and one for PC. Please ensure you're using the correct template when posting your bug report. We encourage you to include a few relevant screenshots or a clear screen-recorded video (uploaded to Imgur or Youtube and shared with us via their respective links) when posting your bug report on the Help Forum regardless of your platform.

PLEASE NOTE!

PC players should note that it's always recommended to include their system information whenever seeking assistance, regardless if it's bug-related or not.

Console 

PLATFORM: PlayStation / Xbox

ISSUE: A brief description of the issue/bug.

REPRO STEPS: Step-by-step instruction list on how to reproduce this bug, try to be as succinct as possible:

ACTUAL RESULT: The result you're currently experiencing. (Meaning after following the steps above you'll end up with this current result)

EXPECTED RESULT: This is the result that someone would expect to happen if the bug wasn't active.

LINKS: Links to videos and/or screenshots will help us better figure out the issue. YouTube, Imgur, and Twitter work best (we can't view Dropbox, Discord, or Google Drive files).

NOTES: Any extra information you think might be beneficial to include.

  • ISP Provider/Speed (upload/download) / Connection Type (LAN or wireless):
  • DxDiag (instructions below):
    • Press (Windows Key + R) to bring up the Run dialog box, enter this command “dxdiag” without quotation marks.

    • Click on “Save all information”.

    • Copy the text and use a text dump website (i.e. PasteBin.com) to paste the information. Please don't use Google Drive.

    • Create a link and post it in your Help Forum post
