The Tower is where all Guardians congregate. The main social hub of the game provides a variety of services including crucial vendors, terminals, quests, and ways to interact with other players in-between completing and engaging with other parts of gameplay content. The original Tower was destroyed during the Red War, so the current one is supposed to be a temporary location... although it's been more than seven years already...
Points of Interest
Monument of Triumph
Found in the middle of the Tower is the Monument of Triumph, a statue commemorating all Guardians who made the universe as bright as it is. Behind it is four plaques, which you can interact with to trade Legendary Marks earned from completing any Triumph from Monument of Triumph for special rewards.
Monument to Lost Lights
If you’re curious about older Exotic armor and weapons from previous vaulted content, you’ll be able to find them in the Monument to Lost Lights kiosk. Here, you’ll be able to exchange Exotic Ciphers and Glimmer for certain Exotic Weapons and Armor, as well as some very rare Legendary Weapons.
While these are not the ‘best’ Exotics in the game, they’re still unique and impactful, and can be useful depending on what type of build you’re going for!
For more on Exotics, check out the ‘Your Guardian’ section of the New Player Guide.
Vault
Your ‘bank’ of sorts, this is where all Guardians can store armor, weapons, and other miscellaneous items to help manage their inventories. You can access this terminal by teleporting to the main ‘Tower’ waypoint, then go forward and to the right, to the second terminal next to the bridge.
To put items into your Vault, go into your inventory and select the Toggle: Vault setting. When you select items in your current inventory, it will be sent to your Vault. You’ll then be able to grab the items in your Vault later on or dismantle them if they’re older or no longer needed!
We recommend using the Vault to help you quickly manage inventory when clearing content to avoid missing item drops, and to keep up with dismantling unnecessary items to save Vault space as you clear more content in Destiny 2.
Quest Archive
To the left of the Eververse booth is the Quest Archive Terminal, a place that will allow any Guardian to acquire old or abandoned quests that they might’ve otherwise forgotten about or missed. This can be helpful in finding older quests you accidentally abandoned, or to keep track of content you might’ve missed that you want to complete retroactively.
Special Deliveries Terminal
To the left of Rahool the Cryptarch, you’ll find the Special Deliveries Terminal. This is your go-to terminal to access all the loot sent if you've previously bought pre-order items before Monument of Triumph.
Monument to Seasons Past
Near the Vault, this special kiosk will allow you to buy certain Reward Pass rewards from past Destiny 2 seasons. You will need a special currency called Chronologs, which you can earn in different Reward Tracks from events or the weekly Seasonal Track.
Kadi-55-30, the Postmaster
Located to the left of the Eververse Store and Tess Everis, this NPC will hold lost items and gifts to players. If you’ve found yourself not picking up a piece of rare or higher quality loot by mistake, the Postmaster will be holding the items for you the next time a Guardian goes back into orbit.
Vendors
There’s a variety of vendors available in the Tower, each with their own benefits, rewards, and systems that are worth noting and getting acquainted with. Here’s a short list of some of the most important ones to remember:
Zavala, Titan Vanguard and Commander of the Vanguard
Commander Zavala is the guides Guardian forces in the Last City and can be found in the Tower south of the Courtyard Landing Zone. He's the Titan Vanguard and, through him, you can learn Titan subclasses and how to grow your Guardians skills as you progress through the game. Visit him to gain access to quests that will guide you on how to use your newfound subclass abilities. He also is the Vanguard reputation vendor, which you can level to gain rewards. Shop from Zavala if you’re interested in Solo, Fireteam, Arena, or Pinnacle Ops gear, and when unlocking Vanguard Ciphers, go to him to upgrade your tiered gear with it.
Ikora Rey, Warlock Vanguard
Located in the Annex Landing Zone, the Warlock Vanguard Ikora can help you unlock subclasses for Warlocks. She’s also a key part in helping you learn the path of a Guardian as you walk along the light with dungeon quests to allow you to test out your new abilities.
Crow, Hunter Vanguard
The man previously known as Uldren Sov is the most recent member of the Vanguard and leader of the Hunters. He is sitting in the Hangar and, while he doesn't currently have many tasks for Guardians, his presence as the Hunter Vanguard is of comfort to Hunters, rookies and veterans alike.
Lord Shaxx, The Crucible Handler
Past the Vault Terminal, you’ll find Lord Shaxx, near a ledge overlooking the city. He’s the Crucible Handler and is the vendor from which you can find Crucible quests, complete his reputation track for rewards, and gain other rewards for achieving certain accomplishments and ranks in the Crucible game mode. Get used to hearing him screaming in your comms when playing PvP.
Master Rahool, the Cryptarch
He allows Guardians to exchange different materials and curios for Glimmer and other useful items and currencies. In addition, he also decodes Exotic engrams into Exotic gear. He can be found to the right of Courtyard Landing Zone for the Tower.
Banshee-44, the Gunsmith
Located to the left of the Special Deliveries Terminal, Banshee-44 is the Tower’s gunsmith. You can purchase legacy weapons and tiered gear from previous updates from him, as well as featured weapons for Enhancement Cores and Glimmer. Dismantling weapons and armor to Banshee-44 also offers reputation that earns you rewards.
Ada-1, Armor Synthesis Vendor
In charge of Armor Synthesis, she’s found on the lower floors of the Tower, near the left-most Tower teleporter. Not only can you obtain quests that will unlock Armor Synthesis (a way to change armor appearances using collected ornaments), but you’ll do bounties to unlock the Synthweave currency to further unlock armor appearances, legacy armor, and shaders.
Drifter, Gambit Vendor
To the right of the left-most teleport in the Tower lies the Drifter, who you can raise reputation with for rewards, as well as unlock different tiered Gambit gear with Gambit Engrams.
Xûr, Agent of the Nine
His will is not his own, but from Friday to Tuesday, before reset time, he will be offering interesting gear and currencies, like Exotics, tiered armor, catalysts, and even a very special Skimmer, in exchange for Strange Coins, a currency you earn as you play the game and complete Reward passes. Purchasing items from him will also grant you reputation to Xûr for further rewards. He is sitting in the Courtyard, to the right as you enter the area. Maybe a little hidden for a vendor, but again: his will is not his own.
Saint-14, Trials of Osiris Vendor
From Friday to Tuesday, Saint-14 celebrates the Trials of Osiris tournament where players test their advanced PvP skills in exchange for unique and very powerful gear. While also having a reputation track to unlock for rewards, he also sells the Passages and other items needed to participate in Trials of Osiris alongside tiered Trials gear from previous updates. Similar to Shaxx, you'll get used to his accent and encouraging words the moment you set foot into the competition.
Archie, the mechanical dog
Archangel, but we all call him Archie, is a mechanical dog created by the Warmind Rasputin that was found aboard Seraph Station and adopted by Ana Bray. He's not a vendor, but he is a good boy and you can give him some pets when you land in the Bazaar. He is near Ikora and Lodi.
