What is a Rewards Pass?
In each Year of Destiny 2, some seasonal content will persist beyond its Season if players own that Season’s Rewards Pass. Players who don’t own that Season’s Rewards Pass and would like to access this content must purchase or upgrade to the latest Destiny 2 Digital Deluxe Edition. This content will be available until the current Year ends.
A player's Rewards Pass and its progression will be able to travel with a player via Cross Save. Players should enable Cross Save before applying the Rewards Pass to their account if they plan to play on multiple platforms or have multiple platform accounts.
Purchasing or Acquiring a Rewards Pass
PLEASE NOTE!
- Logging into Destiny 2 on any platform will instantly unlock Rewards Passes acquired from a Destiny 2 expansion bundle, even if no characters have been created on that platform or account yet.
- If players want to use Cross Save, it should be fully activated before logging into Destiny 2 on a platform where Rewards Passes were purchased from an expansion bundle, otherwise, those Rewards Passes may become lost.
Seasonal Ranks
Once a season ends, the ranks will reset, and players will be able to earn new rewards from the tracks for the next Season. Seasonal Ranks for previous Seasons are not available to players who purchase or access previous Seasons during the current Year.
Artifacts and Mods
Seasonal armor mods are used to elevate reload speeds, ability regen, and more, to higher levels. Starting in Season 12, armor will have a mod slot that accepts mods introduced into the game throughout a full Year.
Seasonal Artifacts and Seasonal mods will go away at the end of the Season they were introduced in, but mods will eventually be added back into the game.
Vital Information and Troubleshooting
INSTANT UNLOCK
Logging into Destiny 2 on any platform will instantly unlock Rewards Passes acquired from a Destiny 2 expansion bundle, even if no characters have been created on that platform or account yet.
Cross Save should be fully activated before logging into Destiny 2 on a platform where Rewards Passes were purchased from an expansion bundle, otherwise, those Rewards Passes may become lost.
GAME SHARING
Rewards Pass Premium Track unlocks and rewards cannot be game shared, and every player must purchase a Rewards Pass on their account to access that Season's seasonal content.
Game sharing is a platform feature and is not officially supported by Bungie.
TWO SEASONS TO CLAIM EARNED REWARDS
Players have two Seasons to claim earned Premium Track ranks rewards from a Season Pass or Rewards Pass, including the Season it was active in where XP unlocked the rank. After a Season ends, players can claim the earned rewards found in that Rewards Pass on their Previous and Current Rewards Pass page. Players may need to click their platform ID and then click the platform ID again for it to load the page correctly. This page can also be found on the Destiny Companion App.
Players need to have earned the corresponding Rewards Pass rank when the Season was active to collect previous Premium Track Rewards Pass rewards. Any earned Rewards Pass rewards older than two Seasons are unavailable to collect. Bungie does not grant previous uncollected Rewards Pass items. Players should ensure that they collect all available rewards prior to the Rewards Pass becoming unavailable to access.
Additionally, Bungie does not offer refunds or grants for lost Bright Engrams earned from the Rewards Pass.
REWARDS PASSES FROM OLD BUNDLE PURCHASES
Season Passes and Rewards Passes will not unlock for players who purchase a bundle that doesn't contain the newest expansion. The current Year of Destiny 2 is what the newest expansion includes.
