Error Code: MARMOT

This error occurs when the Destiny 2 game files have been corrupted and need to be repaired or verified. For steps to repair the game files on each supported PC platform, please see below.


  • Close Destiny 2 
  • Right click on Destiny 2 on Steam
  • Select "Properties" and "Local Files"
  • Select "Verify Integrity of Game Files"
  • Restart Destiny 2

Microsoft Store on PC

  • Close Destiny 2
  • Open "Apps & Features" in Windows Settings
  • Select Destiny 2
  • Select "Advanced Options" and run "Repair"
  • Restart Destiny 2

If issues persist players are advised to fully uninstall and reinstall Destiny 2.
