- Official Rules
- Streaming Overlay
For a team to participate in a World First race, they must adhere to the race's rules, including the below streaming requirements and contact form submission.
These requirements are both for verification purposes to combat cheaters, and to improve the overall viewing experience for our players watching streams. We may make additional changes to these rules in future races.
The following will be required if teams wish to be in contention of being World First:
- Streaming is required, but only one member of the Fireteam has to stream.
- The stream must be on YouTube, Twitch, or BiliBili.
- The stream must be set to video-on-demand (VOD).
- If the team member wants to hide portions of their screen, they must either use an overlay provided by us or use their own version that blocks the designated areas provided in our overlay. Team members cannot use additional overlays to block other portions of their stream, even as a joke.
- This stream overlay is only needed during the competition.
- The overlay may be edited to add your branding/face - but no additional gameplay content may be covered.
- If you wish to compete yet have no desire to cover your screen... awesome! Don’t worry about it.
- The team member who streams cannot black out or hide their screen or portions of their screen outside the designated areas.
- Game audio must be on at all times, but players may mute their voice audio.
- The streaming team member must submit their information to us using the contact form link below before the start of the race.
Any stream outages due to Fireteam member hardware, internet connection, or other causes (further outlined in Section 9.2) may result in the attempt being invalidated, subject to the Sponsor’s discretion. Although not required, it is recommended that a second Fireteam member stream to preempt any potential stream interruptions.
Important Notes: This submission is for data collection purposes only. The form submissions are automatically sorted and closed out after a certain amount of time. Submissions from this contact form are not guaranteed to be read or responded to by Bungie. Spamming, submitting abusive content, or otherwise violating our Code of Conduct may result in restrictions from contact forms, Bungie.net, or Bungie's games.
