PLEASE NOTE!
While we are not planning to provide updates in the future, we may still need to release a hotfix for the health and stability of the game.
Activities
This includes destinations, activities, expansions, and the new activities that will be added as part of the Monument of Triumph update. However, with the new Director, some playlists will be merged or deprecated.

Monument of Triumph is a celebration of everything players have accomplished since Destiny 2 launched: turning back the Darkness, defeating gods, shattering blades, banishing nightmares, outplaying Savathûn at chess, and forging legendary stories across the Sol system.
We are inviting all Guardians to take part in a celebration of these accomplishments: Legends, Dredgens, Renegades, Conquerors, New Lights — and everyone in between.
- Monument of Triumph will be available for all players beginning on June 9, 2026, and will remain in the game indefinitely.
- Players can earn Legendary Marks by completing a game-wide array of Triumphs, granting access to a vast selection of free armor ornaments, accessories, weapon engrams, and more.
- A new Title and armor ornament set will be available and remain in the game indefinitely.
For more information about everything included in Monument of Triumph, view our Destiny 2: Every End is a New Beginning announcement article.
- Both activities will be added to Destiny 2 in Update 9.7.0.
- These activities are permanent additions to Destiny 2 and will remain in the game indefinitely.
- For more information about Sparrow Racing League, view our Dev Insights: Return of the Director article.
- For more information about Pantheon, view the "Enter the Pantheon" section in our May 29, 2026, TWID.
- The legacy Vanguard Ops playlist and Nightfall nodes have been deprecated, with all Vanguard Ops activities now available in the Fireteam Ops hub on the Destinations screen.
- Legacy Crucible activity nodes have been moved into the Crucible Ops hub on the Destinations screen, with featured modes appearing on a rotation.
- The Legends node has been deprecated. All Exotic missions, raids, or dungeons previously found in this area can be launched from their respective sections in the Pinnacle Ops node or the new Raids and Dungeons node.
- Access to specific activities in the Raid and Dungeon menu will continue to require ownership of their corresponding expansions or Dungeon Keys.
- All Dungeon Keys will be included as part of Destiny 2: The Collection, releasing on June 9, 2026, or can be acquired in Eververse.
Trials of Osiris
- Trials of Osiris will be available every weekend, except on weekends when Iron Banner is active.
- Trials of Osiris access will continue to require both SMS verification and ownership of The Edge of Fate, Renegades, or Destiny 2: The Collection.
Iron Banner
- Iron Banner will be available every four weeks, from the weekly reset to the following reset.
- Iron Banner access will continue to require SMS verification for free-to-play accounts.
- A platform subscription may also be required to access these and other matchmade playlists.
- For more information about these and other Crucible playlists, view the "Crucible Playlist Rotations" section here.
The following seasonal events are being retired in Destiny 2. Some rewards associated with these events will be available to earn through the Monument of Guardian Tenets, with some armor sets becoming available in Eververse for Bright Dust.
- Guardian Games
- Solstice
- Festival of the Lost
- The Dawning
Eververse
In Update 9.7.0, the Eververse will be shifting to a more evergreen state. Some changes will be noticeable immediately, including a new Daily Offers tab that changes the slate of Silver and Bright Dust offers each day, while others will occur starting June 23. More details will be provided in our Patch Notes on June 9.
The following currencies will continue to be available for players when Update 9.7.0 launches:
- Silver bundles and select Silver + Emote bundles from platform stores.
- Silver purchases will continue in-game for:
- Eververse items, bundles, and packs;
- Campaign Skips at character select for eligible accounts;
- Rewards Pass ranks on the Rewards Pass screen, and;
- Archived Passes from the Monument to Seasons Past.
- Bright Dust will continue to be an earnable currency, now predominantly earned through the Seasonal Hub. Weekly earnable amounts have gone up in all Hub sources. Bright Dust will also be available on the Triumphant Rewards Pass, with all rewards earnable on the Free Track.
- To keep Bright Dust focus on the Eververse, Zavala’s weekly Arsenal Credit buyback has switched to Chronologs.
- Bright Dust purchases will continue for Eververse items, bundles, and packs. We have expanded the offering of cosmetics that can be acquired with this currency.
Other Eververse Updates and Resources:
Update 9.7.0 will change the way that Bright Engrams work with the addition of Bright Engram Focusing, housed in a new tab in the Eververse. A Focused Engram will award an unowned item of the Engram's category.
The categories for Focusing include:
| For one (1) Eververse Engram + 0/300/600/900 Bright Dust (BD): | |
| 0 BD |
|
| 300 BD |
|
| 600 BD |
|
| 900 BD |
|
In addition:
- Bright Engram Focusing will leverage an amount of Bright Dust to focus your Bright Engram to guarantee rewards from an item category of your choice.
- Focused Engrams will only offer items – not Bright Dust – and will not produce duplicates.
- Gifts of Bright Dust can still be acquired from the original Standard Decryption with no focusing.
- Contents within Focused Engrams are finite and will gradually deplete as their contents are acquired. As an Engram depletes, the preview of its contents will update, and eventually, all remaining items will be visible in preview at once. When a Focused Engram has been completely emptied, its preview will be empty, and additional purchases of that Engram will be blocked, as there will be nothing left to earn.
-
Players can use Bright Engram Focusing for a one-to-one exchange for Legacy Engrams from Seasons 1-11. The exchange for a given Legacy Engram will only be visible if that Engram is present in your Engram inventory. Eligible legacy engrams are as follows:
S1: Bright Engram
S2: Illuminated Engram
S2: Dawning Engram
S2: Crimson Engram
S3: Prototype Engram
S3: Solstice Engram
S4: Steadfast Engram
S4: Ephemeral Engram
S5: Etched Engram
S5: Winterdrift Engram
S5: Crimson Engram
S6: Notorious Engram
S6: Jubilant Engram
S7: Best of Year 1 Engram
S8: Nostalgic Engram
S9: Fond Memories Engram
S10: Luminous Engram
S11: Mnemonic Engram
- Players can acquire Archived Passes from previous Seasons for Silver and unlock their rewards using Chronologs.
- Chronologs will now be one of the four featured currencies shown across the UI, listed after Glimmer and before Silver. They will no longer take a spot in the Inventory as a result.
- Chronologs will be predominantly earned through the Seasonal Hub, with the weekly earnable amounts going up as the Hub absorbs other sources. A regular allotment will also be included on the Triumphant Rewards Pass.
- Starting in Update 9.7.0, the Ash & Iron Rewards Pass and the Lawless Rewards Pass will be added to the monument.
- Because it will be permanently available in the Rewards Pass screen, the Triumphant Rewards Pass will not be available on the Monument to Seasons Past.
- The Monument to Seasons Past is located in the Tower Courtyard in front of Banshee-44, next to the Monument to Lost Lights.
Rewards Pass
- A final Rewards Pass will be available in Update 9.7.0. This “Triumphant” Rewards Pass will not have an end date and will continue to have free and premium rewards available.
- Players who have existing purchases of Renegades, the Year of Prophecy, or the Year of Prophecy Ultimate Edition will automatically receive this Reward Pass.
- Players who do not already own this Reward Pass will be able to acquire it by purchasing this Pass individually in the Eververse Store, or as a part of new purchases of The Edge of Fate, Renegades, or Destiny 2: The Collection.
- The Score Boost has been replaced with an additional set of XP Boosts, with up to +15% Personal and Fireteam XP available. The five stages of XP Boost will be automatically unlocked based on progress earned on the Lawless Rewards Pass.
- The Triumphant Rewards Pass has received additional cosmetic rewards, including two additional Armor Ornament Sets, six shaders, two Accessory Sets, two emotes, a Finisher, a Holochip, a Ghost Hologram, and a Skimmer.
Destiny 2 API and Companion App
- The Destiny 2 API and the official Destiny Companion App will continue being available and supported after Update 9.7.0 launches.
- Developers can continue to use our GitHub Developer Community to ask questions, get help, report bugs, and more.
