Occasionally, due to various issues, items can be disabled in Destiny 2. These items may be disabled in specific activities, or may be disabled game-wide. Disabled items cannot be equipped, and if an item is already equipped by a player as it gets disabled, it will contribute 0 Power to their total Power level.

Please note that players will not be prevented from equipping disabled Fragments or items with disabled perks, but the effects will not work when in combat.

Contest Mode Disabled List
Additional entries may be added as we approach a raid or dungeon launch.
To maintain the integrity of a World First Race and its challenges, we will be disabling the following list of gear, abilities, progression, and more, during Contest Mode inside the raid or dungeon:

- Mods can still be slotted but add no benefit in dungeon

Bounty and Weapon Leveling Progression for Combatant Kills
- To give our servers some space to breathe, there will be no bounty or weapon leveling progress for combatant kills below boss tier within all versions of the raid or dungeon while Contest Mode is enabled.
Please note that players will not be prevented from equipping disabled Fragments or items with disabled perks, but the effects will not work when inside the raid or dungeon during Contest Mode.
