Why did redeeming the code from a retailer not unlock the content?
Some retailers may provide codes that credit a player's PSN or Xbox Live account with a dollar value instead of directly unlocking the specified content. This can impact codes for Expansions, Add-Ons, or Silver.
Players that have redeemed a code from a retailer should check their PSN or Xbox Live account and verify if they have received either the unlocked content or credit to purchase the content digitally. If the account received credit, the player will need to purchase the content digitally and, if needed, begin the download and installation process.
How does unlinking a Destiny account from a Bungie.net profile impact redeemed codes?
Access to items that are granted from single use Bungie.net codes will be lost if players unlink their PSN ID, Xbox Live Gamertag, Steam ID, Stadia ID, or Epic Games ID from the Bungie.net profile that redeemed the item code. If a player loses access to these licenses in this manner, the items granted will persist in their Character Inventory, but will not be usable. To re-gain access to these items, player need to re-link their Destiny account to the Bungie.net profile that redeemed the code. For more information please see the Account Creation, Linking, and Recovery guide.
How can players get help if their codes are missing, invalid, or have already been used?
If the code was purchased from a retailer, players will need to contact their retailer for assistance with missing, invalid, or already used codes. Bungie will not replace codes that are missing, invalid, or that have already been used.
