Destiny 2 players on PC may encounter an issue where Windows Defender incorrectly detects specific Destiny 2 files as infected with malware when performing a scan.
We have investigated this issue and can assure players that Destiny 2 files downloaded and installed directly from Steam and Microsoft Store pose no security threat.
Players who encounter this issue should:
- Update their Virus Definitions in Windows Defender by following these instructions: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/definitions
