Error Codes: Disconnected From Destiny

Players that are disconnected from Destiny will receive an error message that may contain an error code at the bottom. Each error code indicates a different type of disconnection and is used to help Bungie, platform partners, and players track what is causing impacted players to lose connectivity with the game.

Types of Error Codes

Most error messages that players may encounter while playing Destiny will fall into one of two categories of error codes: Platform Error Codes or Destiny Error Codes. The type of error code that a player is encountering will determine the best source of support and troubleshooting steps.

Platform Error Code

Players may occasionally encounter a platform error code when playing Destiny or during the installation process. These are most often a string of numbers and/or letters. To troubleshoot these errors, please contact the proper platform support site:

Players may occasionally encounter a Destiny error code when playing Destiny or during the installation process. These are most often a single English word for an animal, plant, or musical instrument, such as WEASEL, MARIONBERRY, or BANJO. Please see below for basic steps to troubleshoot Destiny Error Codes.

Basic Troubleshooting Steps

The basic steps for troubleshooting a Destiny Error Code are dependent on the types and frequency of the Error Code that is being encountered.

Players that have received a single disconnect from an error code should close and restart the Destiny application on their platform. If players continue to encounter error codes after restarting Destiny, they should follow the troubleshooting steps in the below sections.
